Hi Timo, I'm playing with Dovecot v1.2.beta2 currently. When the dict process was started via deliver(?) and Dovecot is killed (kill $PID_OF_DOVECOT) after delivering only one message, it logs: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor If the dict process was not started or deliver has delivered more than one message, the error doesn't occur. Hi all. Unfortunately, the existing quota-fs does not know how to get GROUP quota with NFS storage. But there is a tool for Linux quota-tools (http://slackware.rol.ru/slackware/slackware-12.2/source/a/quota/) This patch is made on the basis quota-tools. The patch was successful alpha testing. [Dovecot] File and group permissions for incoming mails

Hello I am using Dovecot 1.1.1 together with Postfix (and for some users Procmail for Spam Filtering). Until now I didn't have to use shared mailboxes. Now I want to use simple simlinking to grant other users of the same group access to my mails. The problem is that new incoming mails have always file permissions set to 0600. I have also a file called dovecot-shared (0660) in the Maildir folder. No success. Why doesn't this work? I also tried to use UMASK in the procmailrc. No success. Any help is appreciated! Whenever dovecot is stopped while a dict process is running I see Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 11): Bad file descriptor in the error log. The following patch fixes this for me. Hello people, Since the invention of this storage called dbox, I have never quite gotten round to understanding it, nor getting to use it. It seems so strange to me and I must ask a few stupid questions about it. I use the MTA to deliver mail to Maildir, either in ~/Maildir or /some/path/%d/%n/Maildir. It has always beat me how dbox comes into play under such circumstances. From the wiki, I see the following: "dbox supports a quick migration from Maildir format" - now this leaves me hanging. How? Suppose I migrate from Maildir to dbox, what changes do I make to the MTA to understand that I use dbox? Ok, I use Exim as my MTA. I hope someone can explain to me what I need to do to Exim and what to do th Dovecot so that I can test this dbox thing. And suppose I want to transfer userA's mail to UserB, what do I do? With Maildir, I can simply do something like mv ~A/Maildir ~B/Maildir chown -R B ~b/Maildir Suppose I am using dbox, howdy? Thank you in advance. Thanks.

[Dovecot] Dovecot in OSCON 2009?

Hi, I'm thinking about attending OSCON 2009 with some other people from Mailtrust and having some kind of an informal Dovecot meeting nearby. We could for example talk about what Dovecot would need to work better in your system, like missing features or if some things are annoyingly difficult etc, or just general talking and socializing.
