[Dovecot] Mbox problem in 1.1.3 solved in 1.1.4

Hello. This is just a FYI mail to get the problem (and solution) into a searchable archive.. I ran into the following problem with mbox: Panic: IMAP(XXX): file index-sync.c: line 39 (index_mailbox_set_recent_uid): assertion failed: (seq_range_exists(&ibox->recent_flags, uid)) Which was fully reproducable in 1.1.3, but in the newly released 1.1.4 this does not happen anymore. 'k' right didn't prevent creating parent/child/child mailbox. ACL groups weren't working. - Maildir++ quota: Fixes to rebuilding when quota limit wasn't specified in Dovecot (0 limit or limit read from maildirsize). - mbox: Several bugfixes causing errors and crashes. - Several fixes to expire plugin / expire-tool. - lock_method=dotlock could have deadlocked with itself. - Many error handling fixes and log message improvements.

[Dovecot] Dovecot 1.1.3 / 1.1.4 - not deleteing

Not sure what happened here, but today, all of a sudden, pop3 emails are not being deleted. I was using the 1.1.3 version then upgraded to 1.1.4 now it no longer deletes emails. [Dovecot] LSUB strangeness continued

Hi, I wrote earlier to mention that I am having touble with LSUB command reporting "permission denied' on some accounts and not others that are identical as far as I can see. I am trying various combinations of stuff, so i set up a new IMAP account in Thunderbird that went to one of the accounts I am having trouble with. I was not surprised to get "Server says permission denied". I was surprised that after a minute or so, it went ahead downloaded the mail messages? What the heck? Does Thunderbird try another command? -Don

Hi Timo, Hi *, in 1.2 the dict server (tested with sqlite backend) is somewhat broken. It bails out regularly with "Fatal: dict: Socket already exists: ..." (looks like a race condition as it doesn't fail always). [Dovecot] Can't login in Dovecot, clues needed.

Hi, I'am using Ubuntu Server, and I can't get Dovecot working. Please give me a clue if you can. Ok, my gide to configuration was https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Dovecot I tryed to "telnet mydomain.com 110", but the authentication fails, give this error: -ERR Authentication failed. Besides this, I can't "telnet mydomain.com 110" outside my localhost My mail.log tells this: Oct 5 19:25:29 mydomain dovecot: Killed with signal 15 Oct 5 19:25:29 mydomain dovecot: Dovecot v1.0.10 starting up Oct 5 19:29:33 mydomain dovecot: pop3-login: Disconnected: Inactivity: user=<andre(a)mydomain.com>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, secured What's wrong in here?
