[Dovecot] trouble debugging

I want to switch away from bincimap, and I am having some trouble getting dovecot up and running. Something isn't working (I suspect it's a permissions problem) but the logs aren't really telling me anything interesting. I can authenticate and get a list of folders, but when I try to select a folder, I get the "Internal error" message that tells me to check the server logs. [Dovecot] the variables in mail_location doesn't work anymore.

[Dovecot] PostLogin Scripting issue

Trying out the post-login scripting Timo added recently. Wanting to run a SQL query, as detailed in the example on the Wiki. However, my "USER" env variable is set to "OK" instead of the username. DOVECOT_VERSION=1.0.rc16 RESTRICT_GID_FIRST=127 USER=OK All the other variables (MAIL, HOME, etc) are fine with the correct username. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks, -c

[Dovecot] Dovecot LDA failure in RC16

After upgrading a test server from rc15 to rc16, Postfix was no longer able to deliver mail via Dovecot deliver: Jan 5 11:00:59 testhost postfix/local[8873]: 497282EFE: to=<testuser@testhost>, relay=local, delay=1.2, delays=0.13/0.02/0/1, dsn=5.3.0, status=bounced (Command died with status 89: "/opt/dovecot/libexec/dovecot/deliver -f "$SENDER"") Should "status 89" mean something to me? [Dovecot] rc15 errors

Hi, Since I installed rc15 I'm seing the following errors in logs of a server with several hundreds of pop3 and imap users. All the indexes have been erased and recreated after installation. Dec 21 21:06:46 rouge dovecot: pop3-login: inotify_init() failed: Too many open files The maildir mailboxes are on NFS, but the indexes are local. What should be done to correct this error ? These two error have appeared only once: Dec 22 11:02:07 rouge dovecot: IMAP(xxxxxx): file client.c: line 378 (client_handle_input): assertion failed: (!client->disconnected) Dec 22 11:02:07 rouge dovecot: child 31833 (imap) killed with signal 6 Dec 22 12:43:20 rouge dovecot: IMAP(xxxxxx): free(): invalid pointer 0x5bbbe0! Hi Timo, hi all i fixed my spec , my failure i didnt looked exactly to it ( i had to change paths to modules ) now its compiling sorry Robert -- Diese Nachricht wurde auf Viren und andere gefährliche Inhalte untersucht und ist - aktuelle Virenscanner vorausgesetzt - sauber.
