[Dovecot] Limiting number of IMAP connections per user

Hi, Is there a way of limiting the number of IMAP connections (i.e. processes) per user? Despite asking users to set their email client settings to limit themselves to 2 connections, some still have this set to 10 or more. [Dovecot] dovecot dreate directory instead mailbox

[Dovecot] Incorrect GSSAPI Service Name for POP3

In pop3-login/client-authenticate.c, when sasl_server_auth_begin() is called, it does so with the service name of "POP3". GSSAPI uses this service name when obtaining its service credentials. The problem is that according to http://www.iana.org/assignments/gssapi-service-names , the service name should instead be simply "pop". This causes GSSAPI authentication to fail when used with a POP3 account. With Perdition we'd run at 2000 connections per server, with Dovecot we haven't it a peak yet, but expect to peak at around 15,000 - 25,000 connections per proxy server. [Dovecot] Running just part of dovecot

I'm currently setting up a large mail system, with different services split out onto different machines. What I want is this: machine1: dovecot smtp auth, no pop/imap machine2: dovecot lda, no pop/imap machine3: pop/imap, nothing else machine3 is obviously not the issue. hi there i have a such problem: in dovecot.conf ... protocol imap { listen = *:143 ssl_listen = *:993 mail_plugins = quota imap_quota } ... quota = dirsize:storage=10240 ... in dovecot-ldap.conf: ... user_attrs = uid,,,uid,uidNumber,gidNumber,boxQuota=quota=dirsize:storage ... when an user try to answer out from overquoted box he got the message "overquota blahblahblah", BUT the message still goes... it seems that the imap_quota worked (report about the overquota) but plugin quota dont work. in dovecot logs : ...
