[Dovecot] default_mail_env %d problem

Hi all. I`ve got such problem: default_mail_env = mbox:%h/mail/:INBOX=/var/mail/domain.net.ua/%n - it works. But when I say: default_mail_env = mbox:%h/mail/:INBOX=/var/mail/%d/%n - it not. [Dovecot] alternate rawlog directory

Hello, In rc2 sources, the rawlog directory seem to be hard-coded to be looked for in $HOME. I'd like to have a way to centralized the place where rawlog files are, in order to be able : . to rotate them more easily . not to leave them at the user's reach . not to have to enter the user's directory to read them I'd like to have a layout similar to this : /var/log/dovecot.rawlog/ /user1/20060708-093811-45581.in /user1/20060708-093811-45581.ou /user1/... /user2/20060708-093811-45590.in /user2/20060708-093811-45590.out What do you think about that idea ? Is there already a patch to do that, should I change rawlog.c or is ther already a regular way do do that ? I should have looked closer at the log entries. I went to my maildir and ran a find . -name "dovecot.index*" -print0 | xargs -0 rm -f, which got rid of all the index files, but left the uidlists alone. That worked. The 64 bit dovecot is now running fine. So I guess we know that a 32 bit and a 64 bit dovecot can't both use the same mail store. Doesn't the dovecot front page talk about sanity checks being done to prevent this kind of stuff? This makes dovecot seem brittle. Anyway, thanks for the help. cheers, Scott

Personally I use maildirs and have the format be the filenames so I can continue to use qmail-pop3d (for now). If you're using the default, yeah, I think that's a generated id. Another option would be to recompile dovecot on the 64bit system with the --with-file-offset-size=32 instead of the RPMs. It is really an easy build. Personally, first I'd try removing the index files for my own account and see if my mail gets re-downloaded. Please note that I've done very little on 64bit systems, so these are mostly guesses. But I have compiled with --with-file-offset-size=64 and had to remove my index files to avoid that crash. > -Scott >

Hey everyone, I'm trying version 1.0rc2, via the rpm at ATrpms. I'm running on CentOS 4.3 on an Opteron system. I have this running stably on a 32 bit system, but I'm crashing constantly on a 64 bit system. Might actually be usable now. - Index file handling fixes with keywords - Cache file was incorrectly used in some situations, which probably caused problems sometimes. - Maildir++ quota: Don't count "." and ".." directory sizes to quota. After rewriting maildirsize file keep its fd open so that we can later update it. Patch by Alexander Zagrebin

Hello, I have no autotools knowledge but I had to remove square brackets in configure.in shipped with dovecot AC_CONFIG_HEADERS([config.h]) and dovecot-sieve AC_CONFIG_HEADERS([dsieve-config.h]) to be able to build them. thanks
