Best way of merging mbox files

When concatenating mbox files like described here https://xaizek.github.io/2013-03-30/merge-mbox-mailboxes/. You will end up with an 'unsorted' mbox file. Is this going to be a problem esspecially when they are large >2GB's and new emails will be written to it? The email client nicely sorts the message from folder A "foldera 5 last" as last, but of course the mbox is not like this. Is there a better solution for merging files? I have a running server and would like to clean up a bit, and merge sent folders and trash folders etc. Is this best done via the mailbox alias plugin like mentioned here? Or is there a better way? Solr: URI Too Long

Hi, i'm quite often getting this error: Error: fts_solr: Lookup failed: 414 URI Too Long Most web servers are limiting URI length to 8192 characters. determine why mail clients download mails 2nd time

I have strange problem. In last Friday I had a problem with dovecot. It didn't see directories with mailboxes in /var/vmail. Have have gradually increased the vsz_limit from the default of 256mb up to 2GB now. Limit IMAP/IMAPS listening IPs

Hello list. I am running dovecot v2.2.13 on debian 8.8; I tried to add a "address =" statement for only localhost and one private IP, but then I got a complaint from system: dovecot[20515]: Error: systemd listens on port 143, but it's not configured in Dovecot. LDAP login fails after LDAP server restart

Hi! Just udated my Fedora dovecot to version 2.2.36 and found that after the update dovecot will fail all LDAP logins after slapd has been restarted during the logrotate. Restarting dovecot fixes the problem. Is there a bug preventing dovecot to reopen the LDAP session when it fails? Best Dag

Installing on Mojave, with Homebrew and mysql

I’m using Homebrew to install Dovecot on Mojave, but have to modify the formula to add ‘--with-mysql’. Unfortunately compiling always fails with: checking for mysql_config... NO checking for mysql_init in -lmysqlclient... no configure: error: Can't build with MySQL support: libmysqlclient not found I added: ENV['LD']="-L/usr/local/opt/mysql(a)5.7/lib" to the ‘def install’ section of the formula, but it still fails. config.log shows: … KRB5_LIBS='' LD='-L/usr/local/opt/mysql(a)5.7/lib/' LDAP_LIBS=‘' … And mysqlclient is here: $ locate mysqlclient /usr/local/Cellar/mysql(a)5.7/5.7.24/lib/libmysqlclient.20.dylib /usr/local/Cellar/mysql(a)5.7/5.7.24/lib/libmysqlclient.a /usr/local/Cellar/mysql(a)5.7/5.7.24/lib/libmysqlclient.dylib /usr/local/Cellar/mysql(a)5.7/5.7.24/lib/pkgconfig/mysqlclient.pc I changed the formula to: ENV['LD']="-L/usr/local/Cellar/mysql(a)5.7/5.7.xn--24/lib/-236c And still get the same thing.
