[feature suggestion] pigeonhole - sendmail path for outgoing email

pigeonhole seems to use /usr/sbin/sendmail for its outgoing emails - even tought that is does not seem to be documented anywhere. How about setting to specify diffrent sendmail program path and parameters?

doveadm reload kicked proxy/director users

We just noticed, that a doveadm reload kicked all existing imap-sessions on our Dovecot Director. We're surprised about that, because shutdown_clients is set to NO. Is there any way to reload a config change without kicking all IMAP sessions? Changing Dovecot's format from Maildir to mdbox

Hello, I am trying to change Dovecot's email format from Maildir to mdbox. I have changed Maildir to mdbox in Mail_location from: maildir:/var/vmail/%d/%n to: mdbox:/var/vmail/%d/%n. Nothing seems to happen after I restart Dovecot. The users are virtual users and not local users. Is there something I am missing? Dovecot + SAN with dedup+compression

Hello We have a big Dovecot Server (over 20 TB of mail, 40K users, over 30K iops) and we are evaluating a new SAN Array. We have competitive proposals from Pure Storage (All Flash) , HP 3Par (Hybrid), NetApp FaaS (Hybrid) & EMC Unity (Hybrid). We rely in mdbox+zlib for main storage and mdbox+lzma for secondary storage, does anybody in the list have experience with SAN-based deduplication/compression? Regards Maria.

Dovecot + SAMBA4

hello, I'm new to this forum:) I couldn't found any topic with the same problem and I'm sorry for the inconvenience if there is already one. I'd like to use Dovecot with an authentification from Samba4 via Kerberos. I've followed this procedure : http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Authentication/Kerberos but I cannot connect to the domain. I have not met any difficulty with Samba ; I have others servers that are connected to the samba4 domain via samba/winbind wbinfo -u / -g et getent passwod / group works fine. I think this is still the case: when I exported NFSv4, I also turned on both r/w delegation as well. The exported filesystem exhibited weird locking or slow write operations on NFS clients (e.g. "touch newfile" would take a second to complete). This went away when I turned off write delegation. doveadm backup fails (compromised single attachment storage)

Hi, A couple of months ago I had a problem with Single Attachment Storage after infrastructure migration; All mailboxes were rsynced to another filesystem, and that may have broken Single Attachment Storage. Many, many (if not all) mailboxes show the below logs on dovecot: imap(foo(a)bar.com): Error: read(attachments-connector(zlib(/dovecotdir/mail/ bar.com/foo/mailboxes/INBOX/dbox-Mails/u.26426))) failed: read(/dovecotdir/attach/ bar.com/de/86/de8673894d6fb3f4460e3c26436eefa9a73517fa0f000452f553822367220… b/l]) failed: open(/dovecotdir/attach/ bar.com/de/86/de8673894d6fb3f4460e3c26436eefa9a73517fa0f000452f553822367220…) failed: No such file or directory When that happens, the MUA keeps syncing forever. Hi, i am stuck. Try to install shared folders - dovecot is running fine. ACL is working. But i can't get running the shared folders. Maybe someone can help. This are the relevant conf.
