In order to change the password scheme I wrote a script named updateproxy that needs the plain text password from the user. So I searched for ways to escape problematic characters like % and changed my line to password_query = SELECT username as user, password, \ '%E{w}' as userdb_plain_pass FROM auth_user WHERE username='%n' but this produces problems with password values containing quotes. So how can I get a plain text password containing any ascii char (or even better any utf-8 char) safely to my script? Hallo again. Dovecot is not doing a look up for the MailDirLoc in the mysql database after postfix hands over the mail to dovecot-lda. Postfix knows the right location # postmap -q user(a)domain.net mysql:/etc/postfix/Mail-Mailbox.cf domain.com/user/ But apparently this has not worked as intended since I moved from courier to dovecot some years back. Is there any idea of when a repo for Ubuntu 22.04/Jammy will be built ? I've tried a couple of test installs onto a 22.04 system using the 20.04/Focal repo, but no luck yet. libssl issues etc. -- Dean Carpenter
