[Dovecot] Quota won't work

I tried to set a quota setting. My account is at a size of 600KB now. I still recieve mails, also they will be saved without errors. /var/log/mail.log says nothing to quota, just normal recieve and store entries. [Dovecot] LMTP Logging

Just had a minor suggestion, with no clue how hard/easy it would be to implement: The %f flag in deliver_log_format seems to pick up the From: header, instead of the "MAIL FROM:<...>" arg. It'd be handy to have a %F that shows the "MAIL FROM" arg instead. I'm looking at tracking emails through logs from Exim to Dovecot easily. I know Message-ID can be used for correlation but it adds some complexity to searching, i.e. I can't just grep for the sender (as logged by Exim), unless I assume "MAIL FROM" always == From:

I always run "make distcheck", which should catch these, but recently it has always failed due to clang static checking giving one "error" that I didn't really want to fix. Because of that the distcheck didn't finish and didn't check for the missing file. So, anyway, I've made clang happy again, and now that I see how bad idea it is to just ignore the failed distcheck, I won't do that again in future. :)

Dear all, I hope someone can point me in the right direction. here. I have setup my Dovecot v2.0.13 on Ubuntu 11.10. The logs tells me that the mail location has failed as follows: ========= Jan 16 14:18:16 myservername dovecot: pop3-login: Login: user=<userA>, method=PLAIN, rip=aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd, lip=www.xxx.yyy.zzz, mpid=1360, TLS Jan 16 14:18:16 myservername dovecot: pop3(userA): Error: user molla: Initialization failed: mail_location not set and autodetection failed: Mail storage autodetection failed with home=/home/userA Jan 16 14:18:16 myservername dovecot: pop3(userA): Error: Invalid user settings. [Dovecot] Dovecot crashes totally

Hello, our dovecot server crashes totally without any really useful log messages. The error log can be found in the attachment. The only way to get dovecot running again is a complete system restart. [Dovecot] [Dovecot 2.1] ACL plugin makes imap service crash when using some clients

Hello, I've just noticed that when Horde is connecting to Dovecot 2.1, it crashes the imap service if Dovecot is configured to use the ACL plugin. I'm not sure what's so special about the command Horde sends, but it shouldn't make Dovecot crash. Everything is fine when using Thunderbird. Here is the message in Dovecot's logs "Fatal: master: service(imap): child 89974 killed with signal 11 (core not dumped)" The message says that the core is not dumped, even though I did add drop_priv_before_exec=yes to my config file. I've tried connecting to the pid using gdb, but the process just hangs as soon as I'm connected. Cheers, Olivier
