[Dovecot] Problem installing latest dovecot w vpopmail

Hello - I am trying to migrate my dovecot installation from an older server running version 1.x to the latest 2.0.3 When I run configure --with-vpopmail, it bombs pretty quick as follows: ./configure --with-vpopmail checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no configure: error: vpopmail support is broken. fix it or access its db another way. however, vpopmail seems to be working fine, i can add domains from vpopmail/bin/vadddomain and they show up in the database just fine. So why do I receive this error and how can i troubleshoot? thank you very much in advance, Joe

[Dovecot] dovecot-2.0.3 - can not upload message, over quota

Hi! I've upgraded to 2.0.3 from 1.2, and it is so far so good. I especially like the new doveadm tool. I have only one tiny problem: Every time I try to upload a message to the server (eg. to a 'Sent' folder, while sending a message), it fails with an error saying I'm over my quota. I'm using mutt, and this is the exact message I get in mutt: [OVERQUOTA] Quota exceeded (mailbox for user is full) Now this is not true, because dovecot-lda can save message to any of my folders, and doveadm says I have no quota (which is true): # doveadm quota get -u <user> Quota name Type Value Limit % User quota STORAGE 1075010 - 0 User quota MESSAGE 26750 - 0 Dovecot logs say nothing about this. Why is that error message then? (I must admit that I didn't try with another mail client.) I Build a plugin, that do some stuffs with a email. To get the input istream, i use the "get_stream" function, like zlib does. I create a concat_stream, with the full_input[3]; struct istream *full_input[3]; //this like zlib input = imail->data.stream; //first input, using the input full_input[0] = i_stream_create_header_filter(input, HEADER_FILTER_EXCLUDE | HEADER_FILTER_NO_CR, exclude_headers, 1, filter_callback, imail); // second input from another file. full_input[1] = i_stream_create_fd(fd1, 0, TRUE); // finish the input full_input[2] = NULL; // recreating the stream imail->data.stream = i_stream_create_concat(full_input); //unref the old one. i_stream_unref(&input); return index_mail_init_stream(imail, hdr_size, body_size, stream_r); I do like zlib, but i got this errors in LOG. I Think it's because something in the unref, but o don't know what. [Dovecot] Dovecot 2.0.3

I upgraded today to from 1.2.12 to Dovecot 2.0.3 with the dbox format. I just figured out there are still mail in some users directories with the maildir format. These mail are not displayed at all. Nether with roundcube nor with Thunderbird. How could I convert the remaining maildir mails to dbox? Thanks Matthias

[Dovecot] send HUP when rotating log?

Hi! Is it necessary for Dovecot2 to send it a SIGHUP when I rotate its log files? I'm asking because then I must turn off the 'shutdown_clients' option, because then every user gets disconnected while rotating the logs. In upgrading from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3, Dovecot deliver has started putting new emails into user@host/.user@host/new instead of user@host/new. This change was reversed by downgrading to 2.0.2, so it's due to the minor version change.
