Hi, I did a fresh installation of 2.2.9 in my test environment and enabled fts_autoindex=yes. I'm using a solr-server for FTS. [Dovecot] Dovecot readable compressed mail archive

Hello. Is Dovecot able to create and/or read any sort of compressed mail archive? We have a large installation with a few users who need to keep a large amount of email available. With maildir this means a large number of individual files, leading to additional load on our backup process. Even using a compressed mbox file as an archive would help, but only if Dovecot is able to interact with this file seamlessly while keeping current email in the maildir format. Please pardon if this is old business, but I haven't been able to find any reference to it by searching. Hi Timo With dovecot built from the latest 2.2.9 hg (342f6962390e) we get imap crashes. This only affects one account which is used by multiple clients. You only need to add the zlib plugin to mail_plugins once. As far as I know, there's no indication in the logs that mail is being compressed, and the filename isn't modified to indicate that it's compressed, but, of course, the files are zlib data on disk. One gotcha if you're using maildir is, if you're planning to compress old mail, make sure that the S= and W= sizes in the filenames are correct, otherwise dovecot errors and closes the client session, and it can't repair the filename on it's own. [Dovecot] delete message with specified id

Good day, everyone! Could someone help me to find a way to delete message with certain id from all users's mailboxes? How do I do it currently: in exim's log I get mailaddress of a user, get into his mailbox (wich cd), find the letter I need, with ls -i I get inode, search (with find) through all users mails and delete all files with that inode, then I have to rebuild dovecot indexes with doveadm mailbox status -A -t all INBOX -- С уважением, Костырев Александр администратор Linux-систем

Hi! I'm trying to get information about a server certificate from a pigeonhole sieve server. Various connection attempts show only "wrong version number" or "unknown protocol" errors from openssl: $ openssl s_client -connect example.com:4190 { -tls1, -tls1_1, -tls1_2 } [ -starttls { imap, pop3 } ] None of these work.
