Hello list, I have installed 4 Etch, with dovecot 1.0.rc15-2, and I wanted that when the users make IMAP/POP3, the dovecot verifies the user/passwd in a Active Directory of Windows 2003. [Dovecot] Duplicate suppression from remote lists?

Hi, I have a setup where users on my server who are subscribed to several lists on a (remote) weirdly-configured listserver are getting many duplicate e-mails. I know why this is happening; but I don't have control over that listserver so I can't fix it. Is there a way for me to suppress duplicates from within Dovecot? The duplicates do all have the same (otherwise-unique) message ID. "dovecot --version" gives 1.0.rc15. I'm using exim for SMTP. I'm also using dovecot-lda, with the Sieve plugin. There's a rather old thread on this list that mentions that dovecot-lda+Sieve should be able to suppress duplicates; it's not doing so automagically, though... Thanks, Adam

Hi, When there are maildir mail files without W= tag in name then dovecot opens them, read data inside to calculate W= size, cache that information etc. Would be it sensible to have option where dovecot would fix names of such files? Hi, is there a *simple* HOWTO that explains a simple postfix+dovecot setup? Up to now, I used postfix+cyrus, worked fine. But I do not get postfix+dovecot to work. Currently, all emails go to /dev/null. What really would help me is a dovecot lmtp server. Is there any? Hi, how can I remove all keywords from an existing Maildir/? After reading the docs I assume this might work: 1. Stopping dovecot 2. Removing all lowercase [a-z] from the filename flags 3. Removing the dovecot-keywords file 4. Removing the dovecot.index / dovecot.index.* files Is that correct? matthias

Hi, I switched today to the 1.2 alpha4 release and the new Sieve plugin. This plugin doesn't recognize the Return-Path header. Is this correct ? The cmusieve do recognizes it. Thanks, Diederick
