[Dovecot] How create shared Maildir ?

Hello, I'm bigginer dovecot. I use dovecot version 1.0.15 (rc) on debian . How create shared maildir ? I try to .................. # mkdir /home/share # maildirmake.dovecot /home/share/Maildir # chown root:mail /home/share # chmod 660 /home/share # vi /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf -------- add this ---------- namespace public { separator = / prefix = share. location = maildir:/home/share/Maildir } Thunderbird can see "share" , but can't subscribe..... Anyone please teach me how create shared maildir ? Thank you.

[Dovecot] Replace Domainname in Mail Location

Hello, I dont fully understand how the domain name replacement in mail_location takes place. If I connect to the server using my username as in the text file i can not access my Maildirs as %d gets not replaced. If i user username(a)domain.com the %d is correctly replaced. But, how would i configure my mail_location, to take the domain part from the server name i connect to? So i could set up my client to connect to mydomain.com and have just my username set as login? I did not find a variable that seems to be more correct than %d. So i guess i have to configure that elsewehre? In userdb? [Dovecot] Horde IMP w/ dovecot folder list

Hi! I'm using dovecot-1.1.7, Horde-3.3.2 and IMP-4.3.2. The left-side folder list has some folders, whos names contains localized (non-ascii) characters. This is displayed correctly when I select the "English (American)" language entry on the login page from the dropdown menu. But when I choose my locale, which is "Magyar" (Hungarian), the folders won't display the correct characters. It's like this: With "English (American)" locale: Ügyfél With "Magyar" locale: &ANw-gyf&AOk-l The latter is the same displaying as with the folder's name on the filesystem: # ls -1 user/Maildir/ [...] .&ANw-gyf&AOk-l/ [...] I've sent this message to imp@ but, they say it is a problem with my mailserver, which I suspected, because the wrong folder names are exactly the same as the folder names on the filesystem. [Dovecot] 1.1.7: quota problem, unable to delete mails when quota exceeded

Hi, When user exceeds it's quota then dovecot can't create it's files and it's showing zero mails :( This also means that user is unable to delete it's own mails. Sounds like kind-of bug, right? Your argument is bogus - see above... again, a basic, properly configured firewall has negligible impact on pretty much any systems resources, even ancient ones... Normally, i use 'domain.ltd/username/Maildir' as users' maildir path, if i change them to hash style, e.g. 'A0/B0/domain.ltd/C0/D0/username/Maildir', will it speed up the index operation for MDA? Has anyone used Toltec to connect Outlook to Dovecot hosted message stores? Primary advantage over Bynari is price - $14 per client. I have used it with Kolab and been very happy.

[Dovecot] can deliver filter through spamc?

I'm using maildrop to filter mail like: xfilter "/usr/bin/spamc" xfilter "/usr/bin/bogofilter -ep" I want to change to deliver (so I can use sieve) but can deliver do this?
