I have been running Dovecot 1.2.5 since Sept 14. Beginning at about 03:28 on Sept 21 for no apparent (to me) reason and continuing through the present, I am seeing log messages like the following and am experiencing delays logging in. [Dovecot] Sieve vacation with russian subject

Hello list, I have noticed that sieve vacation action breaks some non-english letters in the subject. I tested with russian language, if subject contains letters from specific diapason russian alphabet, the message received with unreadable subject, but text in the body with the same letters looks ok. Here is example of full subject header, it contains russian alphabet: Subject: абвгде�?жзийклмноп�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�?�? [Dovecot] antispam-plugin 1.2 and trailing carriage-returns

Guys, Dovecot 1.0.15 [1], just built the latest antispam-plugin 1.2 (tarball) for testing, mailtrain backend for SA integration. Both built from custom spec files. The mail that is being trained is different than its respective source in the mbox file. The trained one shows added, trailing carriage-return chars for all headers, which are not in the headers in the mbox file. This breaks sa-learn -- both these variations are different, and SA would learn *both* when run against each one separately. How comes? Any insight? How could I fix this, other than wrapping the sa-learn inside another shell script and have sed strip off the noise? This becomes more of an issue, once I switch from sa-learn to the lightning-fast spamc training variant. TIA guenther [1] Yes, I know, sorry. [Dovecot] Convert to DBox

I am thinking of trying out dbox format. I am currently using maildir. Is it possible for me to switch just one user account to dbox while keeping all of my other users on maildir? If so, how would I go about doing that? [Dovecot] Sieve question

If there is a separate sieve mailing list let me know. But have question if someone else has done this or not. Right now I have web form people use to setup their vacation replies using Sieve (1.1.6). The form alows them to set what they want their reply address to be, whether to send the reply once, weekly or bi-weekly. I would like to setup another option to let them set the date in which to de-active the vacation replies automatically. Right now they have to remember to log back into the form to turn off the vacation reply. Has anyone set something like this up? -- C. J. [Dovecot] Expire plugin: wrong mailbox separators in database?

Hi all, I'm experimenting with the expire plugin and seem have run into a small problem. I am using Dovecot 1.2.4 on a test server. The config is taken mostly verbatim from the expire plugin wiki page [1], using MySQL as a database. See below for detailed output. Namespace "private" has "/" configured as mailbox separator: namespace private { separator = / prefix = inbox = yes } The "expire =" section from dovecot.conf thus looks like this: plugin { expire = Trash 7 INBOX/Spam 8 INBOX/Spam/To-Discard 3 ... } Three mailboxes/folders are kept track of: Trash, INBOX/Spam and INBOX/Spam/Spam-To-Discard (this one holds messages that scored high enough to very unlikely be legitimate and should be deleted soon). Presumably because INBOX/Spam is the real mailbox but INBOX.Spam is monitored by the expire plugin and there is no INBOX.Spam to put in messages. So I believe this is not the expected behaviour? Or am I doing anything wrong? I'd rather not change the separator from "/" to "." in all the namespaces if that can be avoided. [Dovecot] Error (IMHO) with --with-doc option

Hi, I was trying to create complete rpm package for my system, containing dovecot 1.2.5 intregrated with dovecot-sieve and dovecot-managesieve. Finally I succeeded and it works great, but I found something that might be treated as wrong behaviour... This avoids emails loops. - Message decoding fixes (mainly for IMAP SEARCH, Sieve).
