[Dovecot] Problems with Outlook clients after a migration

Hi, I'm doing the final tests before I migrate my 10000 users from RHEL 4 + dovecot 1.1.20 to RHEL5 + dovecot 1.2.11, and I'm having some serious problems with outlook 2007 clients disconnecting very often. In dovecot's log I see lot of connects and disconnects from these clients (as oposed to my kmail, that just connects once when I come in and disconnects when I shut it off). After unchecking the "chek every X minutes" thing in outlook I get fewer of those -while functionality remains-, but the main problem still persists: every now and then (more or less 30 mins), the client disconnects, and sometimes the client goes offline. This didn't happen with my previous setup. I use the outlook-idle workaround, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any ideas? [Dovecot] Over quota

Is there any way to still be able to login/delete email via dovecot-imap when the user's filesystem quota is exceeded? [Dovecot] Cannot Access Inbox

Hello Folks, Yesterday while messing around with procmail for SpamAssassin I had my IMAP client open and it lost it's ability to see my Inbox except for two messages. I tried another IMAP client and no success. I can see all other directories such as sent and the ones I have made. The mbox file is there and catable/grepable. I even made a new one. I can read a test account Inbox from the same server with my usual client. Also my small number of other users appear to be using pop3 as normal. Tried so far: * Multiple clients including pop3. * Removed spamd and procmail stuff. * Various permissions. * New mbox. * Restart everything, although I am not sure I rebooted the server last night. * Searched for lock files that may need to be deleted. * Googled. Server setup: * Mandriva Linux 2009.1 * Dovecot 1.1.13 * Postfix 2.5.6 The mailbox in question is my business and some personal email so I would greatly appreciate any help towards fixing this issue. [Dovecot] symlinking maildirs

I have some emails that I think are in the Postfix delivery queue going to Dovecot, but didn't get mapped to their alias (because I didn't have all the alias entries in when they were queued). I'm wondering if this trick would work. I have the mail being delivered to /home/mail/%Ld/%Ln/mail and am wondering if I could make a symlink at /home/mail/example.com/foo -> bar and add a dummy password for foo(a)example.com and have that mail trying to go to foo(a)example.com really go to bar@example and make a successful delivery (it is soft bouncing right now).

[Dovecot] SQL Server

Is there any support for using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 as the SQL database for users? Although I would prefer to do it other ways, the company I work for has all of their virtual hosting authentication tied into a SQL Server. Any ideas? Thank you. Bryan

Dear All, I use postfix and dovecot (1.1.11) combo with maildir format. I would have a question about dovecot config. Can I confiugre dovecot to download mails from IMAP folders via POP3? Now, mails can be downloaded only from .INBOX.
