Along with my post about authentication I was wondering if anyone was building RPMs for the later versions of dovecot (and postfix) than I can find in the usual and not-so-usual yum repos? I already pull from rpmforge but would prefer something later than 1.0.7 Say the 1.1 series. Thanks, Rod --

[Dovecot] Dovecot on Mac - Entourage cannot fetch emails

Hi, Dovecot 1.1.3 is running on Mac OS X 10.5 latest version, with Maildir (LAYOUT=fs). I have following issues when Entourage 2008 connects it, over imap/imaps. Entourage does not cache the mails. After every restart the folder contents are fetched fresh. I have enabled the Entourage option to get entire messages. Entourage caches the gmail IMAP folders fine. Also Outlook 2007 does not have this problem while connecting to the same IMAP server. I have some big folders with a few thousands of emails. Entourage fails with Error: 4362 (Mail could not be retrieved this time) while fetching mails from these folders. Restarting and rebuilding the Entourage database did not fix this issue. Any tips to resolve these issues or to debug what is going on would be greatly appreciated. [Dovecot] Dovecot 1.1.10 and chroot

As it's been a while since I upgraded (1.1rc10, jump to 1.1.10), this might be present in earlier versions as well. Anyway, if one enables mail_chroot in global config file, dovecot will try to access /tmp there. Per-user overrides behave correctly. For example, with: mail_chroot=/home/vmail dovecot will abort with: Fatal: chdir(/home/vmail/tmp) failed with uid 65534: No such file or directory Error: imap dump-capability process returned 89 Fatal: Invalid configuration in /etc/dovecot.conf

[Dovecot] Dovecot-antispam does not work

Hi, I have installed dovecot-antispam and configured it this way (as in the doc) with the dspam exe: protocol imap { mail_plugins = antispam mail_plugin_dir = /usr/lib64/dovecot/imap } plugin { # For dovecot-antispam: antispam_signature = X-DSPAM-Signature antispam_trash = trash;Trash;Deleted Items antispam_spam = SPAM;Junk #antispam_unsure = unsure antispam_dspam_binary = /usr/bin/dspam antispam_dspam_args = --deliver=;--user;%u antispam_mail_tmpdir = /tmp } But it does not work and really I cannot figure it out for two days, because I can find no log wherever, where it writes it does (or try to do) something, nor in the dovecot logs, nor in the dspam logs. But I know something is happening because when I try to move a spam from my inbox to the Junk folder, it fails with an error telling it could not move the email. At the opposite, when I deactivate the antispam plugin, I can move normally the emails. So what could I do to fix my issue or at least diagnose it (where would I find logs of what is happening?)? [Dovecot] Thunderbird does not display old IMAP messages

Hi I have a strange trouble with Dovecot 1.1.10 and Thnuderbird 2.0.0.19 it happens that when a user starts its thunderbird client, he is unable to see his mailbox subject ( the mailbox appears empty ) If he receive a NEW email, then ALL the mailbox contents appears. Any idea on what happen ( cache problem ? index problem ? ) Thanks

[Dovecot] Mail undeliverable error

Hi Guys, I've already posted this to the postfix mailing list and they made sure the error as the title suggest was generated by dovecot and not the other way around. I have an almost perfectly working multi domain mail server running dovecot+postfix+mysql+postfixadmin behind pfsense, when we transferred office, issues arose, suddenly users using email clients like thunderbird/outlook suddenly can't send mail when outside the office and instead gets an smtp denied or worst a mail undeliverable error. The mail undeliverable error was that the postmaster user is unknown yet I've created the alias using postfixadmin. I've made repeated test and sent mail directly to the postmaster and the email was received by the intended user, I'm stumped and have no idea to fix this. Hope you can help me, TIA. [Dovecot] Vacation: Missing file .dovecot.lda-dupes ?

Hello.... I'm using the vacation feature, but the vacation reply is sent when ever a mail is received. What I want is, that the reply should only be sent one time to each user. My understanding is, that a list of people who have received the vacation message should be stored in the file .dovecot.lda-dupes in the users folder. This file is not present in my users fould. I have tried creating the file, but this makes no difference. Any ideas?
