[Dovecot] [IMAP] mails holded in tmp directory

Version: 1.0.beta3 OS: Redhat AS 4 I use the cvs version of Dovecot to run my IMAP server. When I move some mails from one folder to another, only 1 or 2 mails are moved, while others were holded in the tmp directory of the target folder. So, what's the matter? [Dovecot] Shared Folders (1.0beta3)

A few quick questions, as documentation seems to be sparse. * Is there a way to force a shared folder to be subscribed to? If I am using SquirrelMail I have a plugin to do that, but not if they are using another IMAP client. * Are there some sort of ACL's on shared folders, so that I can (hopefully with a sql backend), allow different users different permissions on the folder? * Is it a bug that we can't subscribe to the shared folder, only to it's sub folders? (and is there a way to work around this, i.e. if the shared folder isn't really a Maildir, but it's sub folders are? Other than that, so far, my glimpse at 1.0beta3 is looking very good, and came at the right time, as I was thinking I might need to use Cyrus for the project I'm working on atm... Thanx fot the tip this solves problem with pop3 but not with imap With imap I get imap(basweb(a)dikkenberg.net): Mar 07 00:32:35 Error:mailstore/vmail/dikkenberg.net/basweb/.subscriptions failed with subscription file file_wait_lock(): No locks available I'm running redhat enterprise linux 4.0 with dovecot 0.99.11 but redhat doesn't provide the new version yet with up2date is there an rpm so I can update? [Dovecot] using mbox but, can't create subfolders

Hi, I'm using mbox format w/ dovecot 1.0b3. I tried moving over my mail from a uw-imap server. Everything works fine except I can't create subfolders. [Dovecot] convert tool

Trying out the new convert tool, to migrate from mbox to maildir. Using this syntax ( both inbox and folders are in user's home dir, in mbox format ) ./convert-tool pinetest/export/home2/pinetest \ mbox:/export/home2/pinetest/:INBOX=/export/home2/pinetest/mbox \ maildir:/export/home2/pinetest/Maildir/ I get this error. "Error: Mailbox conversion: Couldn't create mailbox home/Trash Error: Internal failure" Where does it get home/Trash from is hard to guess. I'm not using any variables, every path explicitly says "/export/home2/pinetest" Any ideas ?

[Dovecot] How to create .dovecot.sieve through IMAP?

Hi All, I suspect that the answer is "no way," but there's hope. I'm trying to set up a PHP application Ingo (part of Horde suite) to create the file <home>/.dovecot.sieve for the "advanced" LDA to do mail sorting. Because PHP is running under a Web server user, Ingo can't really write this file directly. My question is, is there any way for Ingo (or any other tool, for that matter) to create that file via IMAP protocol interaction? Horde authenticates users and "knows" login/password combination (that's how it accesses mail folders). Thank you! Sergey.

[Dovecot] using uid in ldap to send email with postfix to dovecot-users!!

Hallo @All I want to use the uid entry in an ldap-database to send email to virtuell dovecot users. What have I to to in postfix?? Allways get an error message user does not exist!! Can abybody help with an example?? Thanks a lot
