What's up!? Well... i'm using this packages: dovecot.x86_64 1.0.7-7.el5 quota.x86_64 1:3.13-1.2.5.el5 Squirrelmail Postfix MYSQL Centos 5.5 64 Bits I configured my dovecot.conf to leave the "TRASH" folder outside the "quota", but without success ... [Dovecot] umask setting

Hi, I have a user called archive that gets a BCC of all incoming/outgoing email. I would like to have the email in the new/cur directories setup to be read only, is there a way to do this in dovecot 2.0.8. I know you can set the umask in the dovecot config but I believe this is a global setting. Thanks, Paul

[Dovecot] Rename public folders

I've got a number of public mailboxes configured for my users. We pretty much have to use Entourage for a client, which insists on creating all new subfolders with the name 'Untitled Folder'. When they try to rename these subfolders with useful names, Dovecot returns A028 NO [CANNOT] Renaming not supported across non-private namespaces. I guess this is because renaming a subfolder could potentially break subscriptions for other users? Or is it a hard requirement from IMAP RFC? If the former, is the problem merely very complicated, but eventually fixable, or is it just intractable? We're using Dovecot 2.0.7 from the atrpms RPM, Redhat EL 5.0. Interesting since imap_acl also makes dovecot segfault. Maybe there is a problem in the way Dovecot loads plugins? [Dovecot] Can I get rid of the fchown log messages?

Hi, Since upgrading dovecot version (from somewhat ancient to 1.2.16), I see messages in the logs like these: Jan 15 00:55:17 srv0303 dovecot: POP3(obm03): fchown(/home/obm/obm03/mail/.imap/INBOX/dovecot.index.tmp, -1, 8(mail)) failed: Operation not permitted (egid=1033(obm), group based on /var/mail/obm03) I know that this is because the mailbox in /var/mail has ownership username:mail. However, in this setup this is intentional, and quota-related (quota on inbox is enforced by Exim, not Dovecot, and kernel does group-quota but not for group mail). Also, group read rights for group mail are intentional. >From what I read on this list, it has something to do with shared folders. I did not (at least it wasn't my intention) configure users' inboxes as shared folders. So, is there a way to disable these log messages, or, to disable Dovecot's attempts to try to change the owner/group of the index/cache/log files when these are inside the user's private ~/mail folder? More specifically, is there a way to do this without changing anything to users' inbox permissions? Thanks, Maarten

Hi, I maintain postfix mailserver with sudo enabled dovecot LDA using multiple uids. I want to enforce quotas per-unix-user (which can have multiple domains with multiple emails set up using postfixadmin), so I have set up a FS quota backend with imap_quota plugin. Unfortunately, the quota appears to work (when i disable chrooting) according to dovecot-info.log, but doesn't send anything over IMAP. I found several topics related to this bug in this mailing list, but without any reply. After installing dovecot 2.0.8 (just updated to 2.0.9) I installed the fts plugin 2.0.9 and get several seconds after reloading dovecot segfaults.
