[Dovecot] Automatic expire on post-login

I need to clear two folder from Maildir at login. Exatly, delete all mails older than 30 days on Trash and 1 day on spam folder. I'm using dovecot 2.0 and I think about use a post-login script calling doveadm -u $user expunge but post-login scripts in dovecot 2.0 are very complex Is there possible to get the environment vars like on dovecot 1.2 ? I think this action must be done by expire plugin, but it isn't the work method if as I understand after read wiki2.dovecot.org about expire plugin, It run only with a cronjob.

[Dovecot] doveadm purge output

Running "doveadm purge" with both -D and -v parms, and both -A and -u options, I don't see much in the way of output. doveadm -v purge -u username just returns with no output doveadm -v purge -A returns no output for most users - for my own mailbox it yields "20 / 21" -D returns the same, along with messages about skipping plugin modules. Is this normal? I'm thinking not - since after deleting messages in the client, emptying the trash, compacting from the client, and then performing a purge - I see no difference in mailbox files. -- Daniel

I am. The only issue I'm seeing is Blackberry devices that can't idle after a while. [Dovecot] two mailboxes - sieve?

Hi helpful list! I have this user that has two different accounts om the mail server. One is a system account, the other is a virtual account (for what it is worth...). This user would like to have all his email to the virtual mail box (maildir format) automatically moved (or delivered) to the system mailbox (also maildir fornat). Both are on the same machine and use the same postfix/dovecot installation. Something tells me that I might need the sieve plugin for lda here since dovecot is the local delivery transport. I have no knowledge whatsoever about sieve or its scripting. What do I need to o apart from enabling the sieve plugin in dovecot.conf? Or is there another simple solution for this problem directly in Postfix or with fetchmail? A simple working example would be wonderful! TIA Egbert Jan (NL)
