Hi this conf parameters managesieve sections seems to be different in 1.2 --- sieve=/usr/local/virtual/%d/%u/.dovecot.sieve sieve_storage=/usr/local/virtual/dovecot-special/%d/%u/sieve --- this worked before but leads to log Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf line 809: Unknown setting: sieve is this expected ? -- Best Regards MfG Robert Schetterer Germany/Munich/Bavaria

[Dovecot] some errors on 1.1.3

Hi, we recently upgraded dovecot from 1.0.5 to 1.1.3+latest patches. After the upgrade I saw some errors in the logs and I'm not sure whether they're a cause for concern. Our setup is 2 servers running openSUSE 11.0 and a NetApp Filer as storage backend. But it would be nice if somebody could explain shortly whether these errors are serious and we should be concerned or if they are harmless. [Dovecot] v1.2.alpha2 released

Not many people have been testing v1.2 releases. Wonder if there's something I could do to improve that. I guess v1.2 is kind of missing those killer features that would get a lot of people to try it. :) I've slowly started working on replication, but I've been pretty busy with school recently. I'm hoping to become a bit less busy when some of the courses end in a few weeks, but then again I should also write my B.Sc. essay ("Scalable high-performance email setups" in Finnish) before christmas and that'll probably take some time if I want to do it well.

[Dovecot] Mbox problem in 1.1.3 solved in 1.1.4

Hello. This is just a FYI mail to get the problem (and solution) into a searchable archive.. I ran into the following problem with mbox: Panic: IMAP(XXX): file index-sync.c: line 39 (index_mailbox_set_recent_uid): assertion failed: (seq_range_exists(&ibox->recent_flags, uid)) Which was fully reproducable in 1.1.3, but in the newly released 1.1.4 this does not happen anymore. ACL groups weren't working. - Maildir++ quota: Fixes to rebuilding when quota limit wasn't specified in Dovecot (0 limit or limit read from maildirsize). - mbox: Several bugfixes causing errors and crashes. - Several fixes to expire plugin / expire-tool. - lock_method=dotlock could have deadlocked with itself. - Many error handling fixes and log message improvements.

[Dovecot] Dovecot 1.1.3 / 1.1.4 - not deleteing

Not sure what happened here, but today, all of a sudden, pop3 emails are not being deleted. I was using the 1.1.3 version then upgraded to 1.1.4 now it no longer deletes emails.
