Does the keyword/action discard work by default or is there something I have to do in the configuration to get to work... maybe I missed something on http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve I have the following rule: if anyof ( header :contains ["Subject"] ["Test Discard"] ) { discard; stop; } but it delivers to INBOX with or w/o the "stop;". If I change the rule to if anyof ( header :contains ["Subject"] ["Test Discard"] ) { fileinto "spam"; stop; } the message will deliver into my spam folder which makes me think I am doing something wrong with "discard". Using 1.0.2 sieve plug-in. Thanks.

Hi, i've upgrade dovecot 1.0.10 to 1.1.3 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 I've installed http://dl.atrpms.net/all/dovecot-1.1.3-0_80.src.rpm with http://www.rename-it.nl/dovecot/1.1/dovecot-1.1.3-managesieve-0.10.3.diff.gz patch. [Dovecot] squat fts index build problem

[Dovecot] lately pop3 with #define DEBUG needs GDB=1

I'm not sure when this happened. The above puts IMAP folders in a folder called mail in the users home directory, and the inbox in /var/mail/%u. Dear users, I have a question about the storage dbox. Is it possible to deliver e-mails from two different lda? I would have two independent servers working at the same time on nfs. Is it possible since the e-mails name will be the same? Thanks in advance Alex

[Dovecot] Outlook 2003 and Thunderbird IMAP + getting new headers

Hi, We run 1.1.3 and I use Outlook to connect to my IMAP box and a couple of times per day (randomly) when I click certain folders IMAP will start retrieving ALL headers for that folder again ('retrieving new headers')! I don't understand this. What triggers IMAP to do so, why not just retrieve only the NEW headers? Is it Dovecot or Outlook (probably) and what can be done about this? I already use the Dovecot Outlook workarounds. I have also gotten word that this behavior happens with Thunderbird. This is really a problem causing a lot of load on our storage (I am not the only user). Cheers, Jan

We have home directories on the server. Virtual user's can login (at least I've been able to verify that from using telnet to port 143). Yes the earlier mail was different. I can go back to that configuration if I need to. Meanwhile I'll take a look at the link you sent.
