[Dovecot] pop-before-smtp Dovecot pattern

Hi, Having some problems with the default pattern in the pop-before-smtp.pl.conf file for dovecot. Also the one off the dovecot wiki doesn't seem to work and since I can't seem to figure out how these patterns work I hoping someone could help me out with a custom pattern. [Dovecot] where do i get updates from? (one for Timo?)

Hi i am on FC3 and ran yum update dovecot and it offers dovecot.i386 0:0.99.13-3.FC3 i thought there was a 1.X beta4 which i should be using? (i have 1.0 stable running from a while back) Mark

[Dovecot] plain auth problem with beta4

Using kmail with PLAIN authentication worked fine with beta3 but trying it with beta4 authentication fails. This is because kmail sends "username \0 username \0 password" in the authorization token and the new code to call auth_request_set_login_username() when supplied an authid must be returning failure (certainly commenting this code out returns to the beta3 behaviour of successfully authenticating). I had a quick look at the routine to see why it might be failing but didn't really work out what its supposed to do. cheers mark

They have roughly 70 users on their network, so it sounds like it could be too many active sessions at once, but I've tried changing a few things in the config, and so far nothing has resolved this. Hi folks. We're trying to set up Dovecot with Maildir++ quotas. Operating system is CentOS 4.3 (final) X86 using Dovecot 1.0b5. [Dovecot] GSSAPI and virtual Users?

Hi, is there a possibility to map login-names to allowed Kerberos-Principals? At the moment GSSAPI-authentication seems to work only if loginname and kerberos-principal are the same, or am I missing something? It would be really great to use GSSAPI-auth with virtual users. Thanks a lot! S. Thias

Hi 1.0 stable is there a way to check which locking method is in use. procmail shows Locking strategies: dotlocking, fcntl() does dovecot use these by default as they are commented out in dovecot.conf Mark

I did not use the the libc-client Perl bindings...sorry. I used a modified version of mb2md-3.20. It was pretty simple really. If you'd like to look at/dowload the source please visit: http://svn.dcs.it.mtu.edu/email.mtu.edu/convert_tools/tags/mb2md-release-4.… (I have my own release numbers for the whole system I wrapped around mb2md). Not a lot of documentation and there is a lot that is specific to my site, but it shouldn't be too hard to decipher and you can always ask me questions, though I'm going to take a well earned next 2 days off. If anyone is interested, the conversion we just performed has been in place for ~5 days now. Only a handful of the ~30,000 users we converted noticed we even did anything (except performance) is better (this was in large part due to the UIDL code I added to mb2md). We are now huge Dovecot fans!
