Hi - Updated from 2.2.27 to 2.3.0 server is webmail (roundcube) Sending worked before after update. Now it receives, but trying to send - this is the bounce in the log Feb 9 01:37:45 {hostname} postfix/pipe[22891]: 931FD2577: to=<{user}(a){hostname}.{tld}>, relay=dovecot, delay=0.01, delays=0/0/0/0, dsn=5.3.0, status=bounced (command line usage error. Command output: lda: Fatal: Invalid -f parameter: Missing domain ) Feb 9 01:37:45 deviant postfix/qmgr[16492]: 931FD2577: removed {hostname}, {user}, {tld} are substitutions. Here's my lda config: protocol lda { log_path = /home/{hostname}/dovecot-deliver.log auth_socket_path = /var/run/dovecot/auth-master postmaster_address = postmaster(a){hostname}.{tld} } Any suggestions (other than reverting) ? How to grant user access to his .dovecot.sieve.log?

Hi, What are the recommended ways to give access to their .dovecot.sieve.log messages to the users? I am thinking about placing this file into users Maildir/new, or piping to dovecot-lda. -- Regards, Sergey Ivanov

stats-writer failed: Permission denied

Hi there! Since i compile my own dovecot (not using dovecot from debian), i get this error on each startup dovecot with systemd Feb 07 11:16:35 aldebaran dovecot[7455]: imap: Error: net_connect_unix(/usr/local/var/run/dovecot/stats-writer) failed: Permission denied Feb 07 11:16:35 aldebaran dovecot[7455]: imap: Error: net_connect_unix(/usr/local/var/run/dovecot/stats-writer) failed: Permission denied I can change the owner and/or permissions of the file, than it works till the next reboot. How can i set this correctly in my configs? Some googling didn't give me results for this error. jakob

Cannot delete IMAP Mail-Folder in Trash

Hello, I've noticed an annoying problem. Trying to delete a folder that has been deleted on IMAP and is moved to trash has problems being deleted. Thunderbird reports: "Folder contains children" and stops there. Folder at first disappears. But after restarting Thunderbird they are still there and on Dovecot-Mailbox folder on the server the folders are also still present. I'm using Dovecot 2.2.18 + Thunderbird + FS-Layout. I also deleted Trash.sdb and Trash.msf in ImapMail-Dir of given Mailbox (after closing Thunderbird of course and restart afterwards). I think the repair-button does more or less the same than deleting msf-files. Trash was rebuilding... but the Folders are still there. I was able to get rid of some other "Junk folders" (that not even where shown in my Thunderbird-Trash inside Trash.sdb folder). But the folders causing current issue are still present after sync! And on server-side (vmail Mailbox on imap-server) these folders are also there! I'm still not able to delete them in Thunderbird. Still getting error Folder contains children, delete them first". Obviously this isn't possible as those sub-folders are not shown in Thunderbird! On server-side of imap (vmail Mailbox) there are in fact sub-folders in those folders. Best regards Gabriel Kaufmann

Bug in dovecot 2.3 virtual plugin

Hi there! I compiled dovecot 2.3 from git. Because there is already a bug in virtual-plugin, and i hoped, it get fixed... but it doesn't. Segmentation fault in "make check" test_istream_multiplex for 2.3.0 on Solaris Sparc

Hi there, I get a crash when doing "make check" for version 2.3.0 on Solaris Sparc. The build was done with gcc 7.3.0. The crash happens in ioloop-poll.c line 181 when running test_istream_multiplex.c: #0 io_loop_handler_run_internal (ioloop=ioloop@entry=0x130dd0) at ioloop-poll.c:181 181 if (pollfd->revents != 0) { Due to the code 180 pollfd = &ctx->fds[ctx->fd_index[io->fd]]; 181 if (pollfd->revents != 0) { I can see in gdb, that io->fd is "-1", so using it as an array index doesn't make much sense: (gdb) print io->fd $2 = -1 and the resulting address of pollfd is not valid.
