LMTP doesn't save to +mailbox

Since switching to lmtp in dovecot, mail to user+mailboix(a)example.com does not get saved in ‘.mailbox’ as it did with LDA, instead it gets saved into the INBOX. If it matters, these are users who do NOT have a ~/.active_sieve file. I could understand (though it would bene a bit annoying) if the save overrode this mechanism. Dovecot director: show user breakdown by director?

Hi, We have recently started using the director in some tests. We are using the static passdb setup (proxy=y nopassword=y) for now, where authentication is done on the downstream IMAP servers. "dovecot director status" shows a breakdown of proxied connections per backend, but there does not seem to be a similar breakdown of user connections per director. The output of "doveadm who" is empty. I assume this is due to there being no local userdb/passdb on the directors? root@xxx:/etc/dovecot/conf.d# doveadm who username # proto (pids) (ips) Is there a way in Dovecot to see which (or even how many) users are connected to a specific director without having to count TCP connections? Well, progress. At least now editheader loads. MultiMaster dsync (cluster1 cluster2 cluster3)

Will MultiMaster dsync work fine or will be big problems ? I configured dovecot to dsync from serv1 to serv2 to serv3 and repeat to serv1 to serv2 to serv3 and repeat... When email received to serv2, it will be synced to serv3, and serv3 will sync it to serv1, and serv1 will sync it to serv2 and will stop here because emails matched. What problems can be with this kind of configuration ? (except that if one of server(cluster) will be stopped, sync will be stopped too until cluster is online again)

Sieve rewrite headers?

I’ve bene looking for examples on how to do this, but so far am coming up short. I want to check certain messages for a reply-ro header and if it is present, rewrite it to X-Reply-To: and then add my own reply-to header. I don’t see anything in the various sieve examples I’ve found on altering the actual message. There is the editheader extension, but I failed to find documentation or examples on how to use it. It appears that I can add a header and delete a header (addheader deleteheader?) but not rewrite one. So something like if header “Reply-to: foo(a)bar.xn--tld-9o0a { addheader "X-Reply-To: foo(a)bar.xn--tld-9o0a deleteheader “Reply-To:” addheader "X-Reply-To: bar(a)foo.xn--tld-9o0a } ?? Do I need to delete the header or will the add header overwrite the one that is there? Also, how do people manage different sieve files? Just cat them all into the active one, or is there a mechanism to import/switch/load other files?

Hi. I have been trying for a long time to roundcube but I have trouble doing it. It may therefore be necessary to manage the casification of dovecot. Something that is not easy right now with the operating system version that I use. I am working with a kali 2019, and I have compilation errors when running the make on pam_cas. Hi Ranbir, i think youre just using the wrong quota backend. https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Quota You should switch from "quota = maildir...." to another one, like dict. Outlook renames Junk folder

Hello, Some versions of Outlook will randomly rename the Junk folder to Junk Email. This of course causes errors because Dovecot can no longer store junk. I go in to Outlook for each user and add another Junk folder, so now they have Junk and Junk Email. This fix action lasts a while until Outlook decides to do it again. Is there a way to tell Dovecot that if the Junk folder doesn't exist, try sending the email to Junk Email folder? Thanks in advance.

Sieve logging?

I am trying to create some sieve scripts to filter my mailing lists and am wondering if sieve logs anywhere, and it so where? I don’t see anything in mail.log beyond lines like: dovecot: lda(kremels(a)kreme.com)<39790><hNchChSkAV1umwAAIdGjjQ>: sieve: msgid=<267D5D71-D99C-4790-8706-C1A92BCC9F97(a)kreme.com>: stored mail into mailbox ‘INBOX' Which doesn’t really tell me anything other than that the script failed. -- If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?
