[Dovecot] doveadm director remove error

Hi, with the version 2.0.rc3, when I try to remove a mail server from director list, get this error: doveadm director remove 10.180.188.21 (null): doesn't exist but the other commands are working without problem ... doveadm director status mail server ip vhosts users 10.180.188.21 100 2 10.180.188.22 100 3 thanks Xavier

[Dovecot] OT dovecot w/postfix, mysql , postfix does unnecessary lookups

I know this unnecessary lookups question is really a postfix one, but I'm curious if anyone else sees the behaviour of postfix continuing looking up users after it clearly have got its answer that it is "not a local domain" response. (this msg is an extract from what I sent to WV some time ago, with him showing absolutely no interest, I got bored tonight so thought I'd throw it on this list since the question remains valid today) 30 Query SELECT 1 FROM virtual_domains WHERE name='example.net' AND active ='1' 31 Query SELECT destination FROM view_aliases WHERE email='someuser(a)example.net' Should that not have ended its lookups at Q30 and not gone on to ask Q31 which it now knows is not local? Secondly, it seems to do "double lookups" of destination and email before it gets to dovecots deliver, has anyone else ran a log on mysql and seen same? Before when i used convert before, it worked as expected. I want to convert my mboxs to maildir. Prefered withoud down time. To do without down time i will do like this. First i convert like i am trying it above, and after i do this, i run once again to see if got any new mail after this, i change in my mysql setting of mail location to /CX4/vdomains/%d/%u/mail/ My mysql settins override the conf file. But firts i have to make the first command work, anyone has any ideias ? []'sf.rique

I'm permanently getting this Serverbug error ... ;( *"[SERVERBUG] failed to send email"* ... This happens when I try to drag&drop mails from one to the other folder within a IMAP-session. [Dovecot] problem with mail_full_filesystem_access = yes

Hello, I have configured Dovecot 1.2.12 with Postfix 2.6.5 and everything is working fine. But tomorrow I wanted to run IMAP ALCs and from log I found that this plugin is conflicting with parameter mail_full_filesystem_access = yes in my config. But when I set mail_full_filesystem_access = no it stops authorization for postfix with this message: <pasek(a)valbek.cz>: Command died with signal 11: "/usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver" Does anybody know what could be wrong in my config? I've spend a night with it but without success. [Dovecot] Convert plugin

Hi, I'm trying to convert users from a sendmail server to a postfix/dovecot server. All works fine but one of the last things is to rescue the messages in /var/mail/<user> on the old server. This seems very straitforward using the convert plugin but with the settings from the wiki, nothing happens when the user logs in. Do I need a private namespace for this as suggested elsewhere in the wiki? I experimented with mb2md.pl and that seems to do what we need but having the old mail converted upon login is much more attractive. In that way we hope that we can also find some 'dead' users. Hi Timo.... I try to change my plugin to read the input email to increase a header line and one \r\n. But i need help to get this input.... My plugin is based in zlib plugin. In "static int zlib_permail_get_stream" function, have it. if (imail->data.stream != NULL || (_mail->uid == 0 && zuser->save_handler == NULL)) { return zmail->super.get_stream(_mail, hdr_size, body_size, stream_r); } I think this is the line that return the stream that is the stream sent by client. I try to change this line and put inside this IF , a call to my function to handle with the input email from client. But i got some errors about the input part. In other email, Timo said, to get the S and W flags in the email name, i need to intercept the email input from client to dovecot, in this part is done the W and S calculation. Timo, where is the part that i can get the input from client ?

[Dovecot] quota not updated

Hi, we're using quota with the maildir backend. When new mail arrives, the quota gets updated. But when mail is expunged, quota stays the same (see imap dialog below). We're using the latest version from hg ( 1.2.13 ). [Dovecot] Mbox corruption - Inbox beginning with 'FFrom' or 'FrFrom'

Hi, Since the 23rd of March, we encounter mailbox corruption for some users (15 out of 5000) using POP mainly via Thunderbird. Symptoms are : -users can login but fail to receive new mails and fail to read their inbox -Dovecot.log : ar 29 11:00:06 Error: POP3(user_login): Couldn't init INBOX: Mailbox isn't a valid mbox -The mailbox start with either 'FFrom or 'FrFrom' We can temporarily fix the issue by manually editing the mailbox so that it begins with a proper 'From'. For some users, the problem reoccurred after we apply this workaround. I have to mention that this server has been running fine since almost a year with the current hardware and software configuration. Does anybody has an idea regarding this issue? Hi folks, when building Dovecot 2.0.rc3 (never used any other 2.0.X before, so this issue might not be new to that specific release), then compilation fails on anything that is linked against the new "libdovecot-login.so" library. According to the documentation, Dovecot is smart enough to get everything it needs from the /usr/local/ssl/lib/pkgconfig/*.pc files. Dovecot 1.2.X just compiles fine if configured like this: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/${DOVECOTVER} --with-ssl=openssl The problem with Dovecot 2.0.rc3 is, that libdovecot-login.so isn't given the correct pathes for the OpenSSL libraries: $ ldd src/login-common/.libs/libdovecot-login.so linux-gate.so.1 => (0x00b6e000) libssl.so.1.0.0 => not found libcrypto.so.1.0.0 => not found libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x00b2a000) librt.so.1 => /lib/librt.so.1 (0x004d4000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x00110000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x006e7000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x009c6000) So everything depending on libdovecot-login.so will fail. Setting "SSL_CFLAGS" and "SSL_LIBS" manually doesn't help because Dovecot already sets these perfectly fine via pkg-config: env SSL_CFLAGS="-I/usr/local/ssl/include" SSL_LIBS="-L/usr/local/ssl/lib -Wl,-R/usr/local/ssl/lib -lcrypto -lssl" ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/${DOVECOTVER} --with-ssl=openssl Only the hard way works: env CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/ssl/include" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/ssl/lib -Wl,-R/usr/local/ssl/lib -lcrypto -lssl" ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/${DOVECOTVER} --with-ssl=openssl However, setting CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS shouldn't be necessary because SSL_CFLAGS and SSL_LIBS already contain the information that is needed to build a proper library.
