[Dovecot] Date problem after import

Hi, am running into an import problem: After I upgraded an Mac OS X 10.5.8 Server to Mac OS X 10.6, not all, but quite some mails show wrong dates. They are dated to the year 2020, which is obviously not possible for mail that has been sent long ago. Now 10.5 to 10.6 is a move from cyrus to dovecot and the migration scripts used by Apple are supposed to do a nice migration. I have seen this suceed a lot of times, but this time not. As far as I understand, dovecot uses the modification date of the email to build its index and deleting the index should make it being rebuilt. But my "wrong" emails also have wrong modification dates. Only the headers inside the mail text still show the correct dates. My guess is, that something got wrong when migrating from cyrus. Even maybe the cyrus db might have been corrupt in the first place. As I can't go back and reimport I have to live with the situation. My plan to fix it is to write a script to traverse the mailbox hierarchy, delete the index files and have all email files with a modification date in 2020 be set to a modification date that is extracted from its contents "Date:" header. Now my question is, if you think this way is good, feasible or if another solution springs to the mind of those more adept with dovecot. Any help is appreciated. When I migrans mailbox from one server to the second file subscribe "/" is replaced by a point "." the first file server subscription: & BB4EMQRJBDgENQ-& BD8EMAQ, BDoEOA-/firstname.secondname after migration to the second server: & BB4EMQRJBDgENQ-& BD8EMAQ, BDoEOA-.firstname.secondname on the second server before migration mailbox was not. Hi, I am trying to convert email box in mbox format to maildir++. It converts all folders except INBOX. For example: dsync -D -v -f -u 'info(a)example.org' mirror 'maildir:~/Maildir' prints: dsync(info(a)example.org): Info: Sport: only in source So it converts Sport folder, but INBOX folder is ignored. dovecot.conf contains: mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u File /var/mail/info(a)example.org contains email messages. [Dovecot] Updating Database records from a Plugin

Guys, In the file /etc/dovecot-pgsql.conf I have driver = pgsql connect = host=localhost dbname=ivr.db user=ivr password=passwd default_pass_scheme = PLAIN password_query = SELECT password FROM embedded_device WHERE username='%u' user_query = SELECT home, uid, gid FROM embedded_device WHERE username='%u' In the table embedded_device there is a field called PIN. My plugin has the "user" and the "pin_value". What I want to do from the plugin is the following: UPDATE embedded_device SET PIN=pin_value WHERE username=user; Questions: Is there a way to locate the exiting database open connection? Is there a way to use the dovecot sql API to set the value of field? I have been looking for examples and have not been very successful. Regards, John

The configuration is what I consider my own standard: Dovecot, Postfix with authentication via Dovecot, postfixadmin, maildir, userbase on MySQL. The new configuration schema is very flexible and much better than the "monolithic" file. The configuration conversion utility is very useful. No issue to report, the logfile is clean. The only difference between 2.0 and the previous version is the RIM server. Some users have configured their blackberry to synchronize the phone with their mailbox in IMAP. Previously RIM kept a connection open, after upgrading to 2.0, RIM opens a connection and then closes it. This is not an issue, because the synchronization is ok, and I think that is better this way than to keep an oper socket. Just for curiosity: it happens only to me and why this happens?
