[Dovecot] Dovecot crash in 1.0.9

I've been having a problem with a crashing Dovecot the last couple of months where it crashes after a couple of weeks of uptime. Been a bit difficult to diagnose. Anyway, we're now running 1.0.9 on a Sun Fire T1000 running Solaris 10. [Dovecot] Sort output of dovecot -n alphabetically?

Is there a way? Postfix does this by default, and it makes it much less likely to miss/overlook a setting... If there is no way, any chance to modify it so that it does? Thanks for dovecot! Really looking forward to 1.1 release! -- Best regards, Charles

Hello, I want to create some specific plugin for dovecot v1.1 (rc5). Where can I find some developer documentation ? Can I build my plugin separately, or do I need to rebuild dovecot again ? I'm looking into code, and analyzing some simple plugins, but hooks documentation or any hints you could give would be very helpful.. AFAIK there's no search for mailing list archives available, to let me search for some older guidance in this case :( Regards, Piotr

[Dovecot] Error while set mailQuota=0 with mbox and LDAP backend

Hi, all. I have OpenLDAP(+qmail.schema), Dovecot, Postfix installed on RHEL 5.1 (x86_64), and they works fine with mbox format. The problem is if i set 'mailQuota=0' in LDAP, postfix can't send mail to recipient user. But it works fine with 'mailQuota != 0', such as '10240'(10M). What's wrong with my mail server setting? How can i solved this issue? Thanks very much. [Dovecot] Auto-subscribe to folders

Hi I will use autocreate plugin in a new installation, and client has asked me if the users can be auto-subscribed to certain folders. Example: the users will have an autocreated Junk folder (for SPAM) and we want the users not to be un-subscribed for this folder; so if the user wants to be unsubscribed (from outlook, webmail, etc), there are two options: a) the action is rejected or denied; b) the next time he/she logins, then the folder is autosubscribed again. Could this be done? How? Thanks in advance.

[Dovecot] Domain variable in checkpassword

Hello everyone I'm using the checkpassword method but I don't get the domain a user inputs. I can't cross check per virtual domains if I'm not getting one, which means it renders all my efforts useless. I've tried sending %d as a variable to my checkpassword script, but I'm just getting %d instead. [Dovecot] imap-login processes

First, thanks for this great product. We migrated from Courier last week with only small bumps along the way. We have a few hundred active users with a mix of pop3 and imap clients. The server is running on sparc Solaris 9. We're seeing a problem now with the number of "imap-login" processes rising slowly to it's limit and then (understandably) not letting any more logins happen. Legitimate users seem to have no problem logging in until the limit is hit. Another odd thing is that this is not a problem for pop3-login processes, just imap...
