[Dovecot] namespaces, shared mailboxes

Hi! I'd like to provide shared mailboxes with maildir that should appear like 'Shared/<mailboxname>' to the clients. Using the namespace configuration below, everything works fine, exept one thing: Mail clients (only tested with Thunderbird) won't allow to put mails directly in 'Shared/mailboxname' (the folder it is greyed out). You currently have to create subfolders and put the mails in those subfolders. [Dovecot] imaptest update

I finally moved imaptest to mercurial repository and added a lot of new tests to it. It now also has its own wiki page: http://imapwiki.org/ImapTest Dovecot v1.1 with dbox or cydir format is the only open source IMAP server that reports no errors with it (haven't tried non-OSS servers). Dovecot with maildir and mbox have some problems with \Recent flag handling. I guess I'll have to figure out why.

Hi... I use dovecot with postfix. For dovecot's sieve plugin to work, do I need to put in my /etc/postfix/master.cf: dovecot unix - n n - - pipe flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d ${recipient} and postconf -e virtual_transport=dovecot postconf -e dovecot_destination_recipient_limit=1 ?

[Dovecot] Quick fix for nfs-workarounds.c

Hi, Under Solaris 8, the rmdir() command returns EEXIST instead of ENOTEMPTY if an rmdir() is attempted on a directory with files still in it. Dovecot 1.1beta9 currently gives tons of errors in the logfile as a result of the code not checking for the right error value. The function nfs_flush_file_handle_cache_dir() in nfs-worksarounds.c probably needs to reflect EEXIST as well as ENOTEMPTY. -- Dean Brooks dean(a)iglou.com

[Dovecot] imap login messages not logged

One of my server stop logging such messages when user trying to login. imap-login: Login: user=<username(a)example.com>. I check configuration from another server and it very same. Any known issues with these locking strategies? (RHEL 4.x default) Dovecot: mbox_locks = fcntl Procmail Locking strategies: dotlocking, fcntl() We're considering moving to all dotlocking after a recommendation from RedHat, even though we're not using NFS at all. Thanks!
